The directions below make 6 side border blocks.
You will need to make 12 blocks per side, for a total of 24 border blocks.
Making them in smaller batches of 6 is helpful for acccuracy.

1. Cut all the fabrics for the 6 rows  [Rotary Cutting~ #F].

2. Sew the strip set using the Row #1 fabrics [Strip Piecing].

3. Sew the strip set using the Row #2 fabrics [Strip Piecing].

4. Sew the strip set using the Row #3 fabrics [Strip Piecing].

5. Sew the strip set using the Row #4 fabrics [Strip Piecing].

6. Sew the strip set using the Row #5 fabrics [Strip Piecing].

7. Sew the strip set using the Row #6 fabrics [Strip Piecing].

8. Cut the 6 strip sets down into 6~9½" x 1½" units (6~13½" x 2" units) each.

 

9. Lay out the row units, as illustrated above.

   Sew [Machine Piecing] the 6 units together, in order, for each of the 6 blocks.
   ~Match the seams (two matches on each seam).

6 Side Border Blocks

 

10. Block [Blocking].

~Repeat 3 more times to make 24 blocks in all~
