Some News ~
First
- I apologize for being a week late with my November Update
newsletter!
It could not be helped, as it's the time of year when my power/electricity
is at it's lowest, with the shortening of daylight and cloudier
days.
Plus it's not yet cold enough outside to freeze the ice packs
- to keep my refrigerator cold, so it uses most of the power
I do get.
The batteries are now 14 years old, and showing their age.
Now
the fun news... :)
Introducing
my 2025 Free Block of the Month
Let's
Play!
This
free monthly series will be relaxing hand stitching, where
you create a small piece, using the two colours I give at
the beginning of each month.
You
make a piece that makes YOU happy.
It can be in a collage style.
It can be in the slow stitched style.
A crazy quilted piece, or anything else you come up with!
With or without a theme.
I
made a sample piece, to show visually what I have in mind
- for my pieces.
The
two colours I played with are green + pink (no surprise! hehe)
I began with placing the background fabrics.
Chose theme/motif fabrics & items and arranged them.
I then added embroidery and embellishments.
Notes:
~I
plan to make all of mine the same size, hang them up, in rotation,
and already have a special box to keep them in.
Other options include making them a picture in a frame, put
them together into a quilted wall hanging, make a fabric book
with them.
~You could also make a collage/themed one, as a gift for someone
special!
I'll be posting a weekly video, showing you the making of
my piece.
I'm
not making mine 'for' anything, but the joy I get creating
with my stash, for fun!!
